“Some of the risks I take are calculated, some are for experience, and many are just for thrills. But the push towards the edge has always put me closer in touch with inspiration.” -Island Company Creative Director and Founder, Spencer Antle. We’d been looking to expand our store for some time now. But being a serious presence in Palm Beach was important. When the Gucci location became available, there was no question that this was for us. It’s the centerpiece of one of the most important retail corridors on the east coast and our hometown. Palm Beach needed the complete Island Company experience that our five other retail locations capture.

For Mr Spencer Antle,
It’s rare that I feel so inspired by a brand that I seek out the creator directly. My recent experience with Island Company here in Edgartown, MA was breathtaking, and I’m not being dramatic. I’ve summered on Martha’s Vineyard with my in-laws for years, and I’ve never enjoyed shopping downtown. The area doesn’t cater to our style - the redundancy and predictability of stores is tiring. But, stepping into your store was absolutely escapist - to the core. The personality of your shop, the demeanor of your staff and the evident philosophy of your brand’s approach was refreshing and deeply magnetic.
My husband and I are Massachusetts natives, with an insatiable urge for island adventure. You’ve brilliantly captured so much of what we enjoy, from the prints you create, to the books you lay on the shelves.
As a market research professional, I swim in brands, and pay close attention to how companies speak to their clientele, and how they listen. professionally, I’m intrigued by your philosophy and wildly impressed with your creative implementation. personally, I’m just thrilled to have found you.
With gratitude,
Kito C.
